The International Baccalaureate Program and Sakala Private Gymnasium

Founded in 1968, the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) aims to nurture curious, knowledgeable, and compassionate young people who contribute to a more peaceful and secure world by fostering intercultural understanding and respect. The IBO collaborates with schools, governments, and international organizations to develop challenging programs that meet international standards. These programs are supported by a clear, criterion-referenced assessment system.

IB programs inspire students worldwide to become active, compassionate, lifelong learners who appreciate that other people, with their differences, can also be right. The IB Learner Profile

All IB programs focus on the holistic development of students through the IB Learner Profile, which aims to develop students who are:

IB at Sakala Private Gymnasium

Sakala Eragümnaasium MTÜ has been a candidate school for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) since February 9, 2023. The school is in the process of seeking authorization as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy—a commitment to high-quality, challenging, and internationally-minded education, which we believe is essential for the development of our students.
